Coach kelly’s top recruits

Coach Kelly’s Top Recruits

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish brought in many great recruits this year. It seemed as if head coach Brian Kelly went after one position, defensive end. Kelly landed many great recruits but some that caught people’s eye consisted of Stephon Tuitt, Ishaq Williams, and Aaron Lynch.

After losing star nose tackle Ian Williams who played a key part in Kelly’s defense last year. Each of these recruits was ranked either four or five stars coming out of their senior year of high school. Coach Kelly really is trying to stack his defense after Charlie left him with a poor group. They were not lacking talent they were lacking team work and dedication, but now with Kelly behind the team they have stepped up as demonstrated when Dayne Crist went down in the middle of the season against Tulsa.

After that the defense really stepped up and turned their season around. These three star recruits coming in to me are expected to help the Irish to pick up right where they left off in the sun bowl were the defense held the high powered hurricane offense to 17 points. I for one am extremely excited for this upcoming season and will be not satisfied with the talent they have then anything less than a 10-2 season, so let’s all hope for the best and remember, GOOOOOOOOOOO IRISH!!!!!!!!

I also am excited about this year. I also love how the
coaches recruit. A majority of 2012′s draft so far are
d-back’s and they all look good. You gotta give it up to
    the coaching staff.

Yes I too am definitely loving that they are recruiting all these defensive backs. It makes me feel a lot more confident knowing ND will have some studs on defense this year. Thank you for the feedback Kevin.
