What was your favorite memory of Notre Dame's 2010 season?

No it was not a great season last year. Coach Brian Kelly can be the first one to tell you. But, there was flashes of greatness during the season that foreshadow the success to come.

The dominating win over USC during the last week of the season was a key moment last year. We finally got revenge on the Trojans, and it was on their turf. Another moment was the Sun Bowl win over Miami, 33-17. After not playing in a bowl game in 2009., it was great for Irish nation to get a bowl win against a quality ACC opponent.

However, the most important win wasagainst Utah. At the time, Utah was ranked inthe top 10 in the country and they were looking to reacha BCS bowl game. They came into South Bend thinking they were going to win easy after we had back to back losses to Navy and Tulsa. So what did we do? We didn’t allow them to score a touchdown, and won 28-3. This was huge for our confidence and set up a 5 game winning streak to end the season (wins against USC
and Miami). This win also changed our “swagger” on defense that will hopefully carry into the upcoming season.

The Utah game was crucial to Notre Dame. But was it the turning point of the season? Leave comment below of your favorite moment of the 2010 season!

Robert Blanton’s blocked punt against Utah was the turning point of the Irish season. The culmination of the season was Harrison Smith’s game ending interception against USC.
