No Irish player drafted in the first round

As predicted by the mock draft experts, no Notre Dame player was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft. This is no surprise to most, as they didn’t even have any going in the first two rounds.

Ben Hansbrough, a senior last year for Notre Dame, had a spectacular season with the Irish. He was the backbone of the team and was usually the most consistent on the court. The Big East Player of the year worked out with 6 teams which included the Celtics, Lakers, and Spurs.

He has been playing on a bad ankle for awhile so that didn’t help his cause at all. But, people do believe he will be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round. Let’s hope he makes it to the NBA and has a chance to compete.

Should Ben be drafted in the NBA tonight (2nd round) or should he be selected in the later?  Leave a comment below and tell us what you think!
