Notre Dame weekly wrap up

This is the first of the new weekly review series SlapTheSign has introduced. The goal is to give you a wrap up of any Notre Dame news that has happened over the past week. We will write this either on Saturday or Sunday. Now let’s get to the important stuff.

Number one tradtion tournament- ESPN’s highly viewed tv show Sportsnation and the new NCAA FOOTBALL 2012 video game (EA Sports) have partnered together to bring usa 16 team bracket-style tournament. Not surprisingly, ND was ranked number one and defeated number 16 seed West Virginia in the first round. Next week, they play Georgia (8 seed) and hopefully they can advance.

NBA Draft-Not much to talk about here. Kyle Irving was selected number one by the Cavs and unfortunately,  no Notre Dame player was selected. Ben Hansbrough and Carleton Scott will have to really work their way into the NBA. If I had to guess they will probably be in the D-League next year (developmental league).

That pretty much sums up the sports life at ND for the week. Log on to SlapTheSigndaily as we give our opinion on the latest news and updates on the school you love, Notre Dame!
