Choice Two: Tommy Rees

The second option for Brianb Kelly for this year’s starting quaterback role is Tommy Rees. Many of you should know Tommy because of his great run at QB when Dayne went down with an injury.

Last Season’s Stats- Stepping in when we needed him to, Tommy was clutch for the Irish. Completying 61 percent of his passes, Rees had 1,106 passing yards with 12 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. The biggest stat of them all, is the 33-17 win over Miami in the Sun Bowl.

What makes him special? Tommy is only a softmore, so he has the ability to grow as a quaterback even more. He has natural talent that if coached right (which should be the case since we have Brian Kelly)

Chances of being the starter-Rees has a good shot at being the starter for ND. He will have to outplay the other quarterbacks, especially Junior Dayne Crist. I can’t see Tommy being anything lower than a backup this year (unless he’s injured of course). His talent will be a good test for the other QBs to try to beat.
