As you can see, Notre Dame was voted 22nd. Not exactly where the experts think, but as Coach Kelly has said,
“From 18-25 you can pick a name out of a hat.”
What he means by this is the teams ranked toward the bottom are very even and can change without much argument. For Notre Dame, most experts and coaches have Notre dame either 15, 17, or 18th. So they think ND is better than what most people think.
