Reasons to not panic about Notrre Dame

Notre Dame did a terrible job this weekend when it came down to fundamentals. But, here is my two reasons to not panic about Notre Dame and their season.

Turnover ratio will go down. - The five turnovers killed Notre Dame in this game, especially the two in the red zone. I don’t see this happening next week because that will be the emphasis of the game for ND. I can’t remember a time where the Irish had back-to-back games of 5 or more turnovers. It might happen, but I can’t see a Brian Kelly team doing this twice in a row.

Tommy Rees proved himself worthy. – Whether Brian Kelly likes it or not, Tommy threw the ball with more confidence and more poise than Dayne Crist did, and he deserves to be the number one. I have not heard any word as to who will be the number one. But, the statistics show that Tommy is a big time player that has proven himself to lead this team. With Tommy as the quarterback, Notre Dame is 4.5-0. He won last years four games and when he was in for the second half, he outscored USF 20-7.

What do you think? Should Notre Dame be worried or will they make it out okay? Leave a comment and let SlapTheSign know!
