Never thinking I would say this about this team, but Notre Dame is looking to be 0-3 if they fall to Michigan State on Saturday. Clearly there are things to work on and here’s what I think should be done.
Corner-backs need to step it up- The corner-back position is one of the toughest positions to play in football. Defending 1v1 is a tough thing to do, but it it something ND is lacking at the moment. Take a look at the last touchdown play for Michigan last week. Gray Gray didn’t pick his head up to see where the ball was when it was in the air. He was face guarding the receiver the entire time. Something fixable that the whole Irish secondary needs to improve on, not just Gray.
Turnovers- Should I even talk about this? 9 turnovers in two games in just disappointing to say the least. If Notre Dame can even think about winning games, they need to cut that number down significantly. If ND doesn’t, we are looking at 0-3. If we keep the ball, we will be the dominating team we set out to be.
What do you think? What’s wrong with the Irish? Leave a comment and let us know what you think!
