Bob Davie hired to coach New Mexico

The New Mexico Lobos have found a new head coach. Bob Davie has stepped up and won the job.

Bob Davie was the head coach of Notre Dame football from 1997-2001.

Bob was the defensive coordinator for Notre Dame from 1994-1996 and also the head coach from 1997-2001.Coach Davie had a 35-25 record with the Irish, which at the time the third-worst winning percentage for the Irish. He did lead them three bowl games including the 2001 Fiesta Bowl.

The Lobos have 3 wins in 3 years, so it looks like he has some work to do. Best of luck to you Coach Bob.
