Notre Dame takes the court for the last time before they begin their Big East journey against Sacred Heart. This year, Sacred Heart is 6-6 and they are playing in the Northeastern Conference this year.
I know this is a relatively easy win but I have seen stranger things (Undefeated Packers losing to the struggling Chiefs). Sacred Heart is only a few tenths of a point worse than Notre Dame in the major offensive categories. In fact, the Pioneers are ahead of Notre Dame in assist per game. This doesn’t indicate that they are the better team, but it does indicate they won’t roll over either.
What to watch for?
Clearly the Irish have had offensive difficulties, so look for different personnel from Head Coach Mike Brey. He will probably mix and match players to learn the best formula possible to win. If he can’t, Notre Dame will have a long season in the Big East and will be playing the NIT tournament come March.
The game is important for the Irish, it will not be aired on any ESPN provider but will start at 7:30 pm (eastern time).
