Notre Dame will take on Cincinnati tonight at 7pm (eastern time) in Cincinnati, Ohio. This could be the game of the tightest games night for the college basketball world in terms of scoring.
I fully expect Notre Dame’s offense to show up after a long and rare holiday break (they haven’t played since their big win against Pittsburgh last Tuesday). Hopefully, they haven’t lost a stride and can pick back up where they left off. Considering that Cincinnati has won their last 4 games, including a 66-63 win over Pittsburgh on New Year’s Day, I expect this game to be a good one coming right down to the wire.
Players to watch:
For Cincinnati, keep an eye out for Sean Kilpatrick. He is a guard that can shoot from almost anywhere. He averages 15.8 points per game and also has a 41.2% 3-point shooting percentage. Looks for him to score often, and also play most of the game.
For the Irish, their perimeter game will be the key of the game for an Irish victory. So, gaurds Jerian Grant (41.2% from the 3-point line for the year) and Alex Dragicevich (36.7% from 3-point range) will have to step up and drain the big shots tonight if Notre Dame thinks about winning this game.
Notre Dame wins 67-61
Notre Dame is going to be too much. As long as they perform the way they did against Pittsburgh, I don’t see them losing this game.
