3-Point Shooting:
Scott Martin and Jerian Grant were on fire tonight. Martin and Grant went for a combined 7-9 behind the arc. The team overall did a great job; going 9-16 all-together. How did WVU do from the 3-point line? They were a woeful 1-11. This is pretty much the key difference maker folks.
“Just to show how things have been going for the Irish, Cooley tossed up a shot after a timeout had been called and it swished through late in the first half.”- The Associated Press ’
Honestly, I could have turned this game off after the 17-4 run ND was on, but then I realized that this might have been the last time Notre Dame would face West Virginia on a annual basis. WVU will be heading off to the Big 12 and will be leaving the Irish behind. I guess you can say our payback for was beating them twice this season.
Notre Dame will face Saint John’s on Saturday, the first of two road games. Let’s go Irish!
