The Arizona Republic has reported that 5 star recruit, Davonte’ Neal, has withdrawn from his high school, Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is currently enrolled in Phoenix Central High School. No one is completely sure as to why he left, but the idea of him switching schools is a concern as to whether or not he will graduate on time.
Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly doesn’t know exactly what is going on either, but he made it clear that the situation is quite simple.
“There are a lot of things, that from our standpoint, we’re still getting information in on,” said Kelly, according to ESPN.com. “But he’s going to have his academics taken care of, and that’s really the most important things for us.” -The Bleacher Report
I’m not entirely sure what to make of this situation. I am hoping that he’s just moving to avoid pressure from students who are harassing him about not going to Arizona, but I can’t see that causing him to move. Hopefully it’ll all workout in the end for us.
