Louisville advances to the quarterfinals in the Big East Tournament

Despite a valid comeback by the Seton Hall Pirates, the Cardinals of Louisville pulled out a 61-55 win. Louisville will play Marquette tomorrow at 7pm ET.

Peyton Silva was the player of the game for Louisville. Silva had 14 points and six steals to help the number one ranked defense in the conference (in points scored against) stop any threats from Seton Hall. Two of Silva’s steals and also a tough bank shot in the first 65 seconds after halftime led to a 20-6 run to start the second half that put Louisville in control of the game.

Here’s the box score of the game.

Tomorrow’s game between Marquette and Louisville should definitly be a close one, so I don’t expect Notre Dame’s game to start until 9:30 pm ET (instead of the set start time of 9pm ET).
