Pat Connaughton allowed just 4 hits over the longest outing of his career. Striking out 3 and walking 4, Pat looked very sharp in his command. His stamina has surely improved since his return from the basketball season.

3B Eric Jagielo went 3-4 for the day with a double and 3 runs scored. Also helping the Irish’s offense was senior RF Alex Robinson who went 3-3 including a 3-run triple and 3 runs scored. Notre Dame also had hits from: Junior 2B Frank DeSico, freshman SS Jason McMurray, freshman LF Mac Hudgins  and junior CF Charlie Markson.

For the Hoyas, Jack Vander Linden took the loss and dropped to 4-2 on the year. He gave up 6 runs, 4 earned, on 6 hits in only 3.0 innings.
