Undrafted rookies Jonas Gray and Taylor Dever sign free agent contracts

Despite not being selected in this years NFL Draft, former Irish players Jonas Gray and Taylor Dever landed themselves free agent contracts on Saturday, making them NFL players.

Jonas Gray signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins, who may use him for special teams and short yardage plays. Miami’s top running back is Reggie Bush, so Gray will have his hands full to try to improve his spot on the team.

Taylor Dever announced via Twitter that he was also becoming a professional football player. Dever signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. He made a good impression with offensive line coach, Bill Callahan during the NFL Combine, so this signing didn’t surprise most people.

The contract information hasn’t been released, but that doesn’t matter to these former Notre Dame players. All that matters to them is living out their childhood dreams.
