#3 Tommy Rees- I will be honest, I liked Rees’s chances as the starter entering the spring. He had the experience and talent to be a leader. However, as practices went on and, of course, the charges of misdemeanor last Thursday, I can’t see him playing the field much. The bigger question Tommy should worry about is whether or not he will be on the team next season. Besides Michael Floyd, players at ND are usually treated harshly for the types of actions he committed.

#4 Gunner Kiel- Gunner is going to be a huge contributor in the future, but the future isn’t now. Brian Kelly has no intent on throwing Kiel into the fire just yet. He has a cannon of an arm and I like his attitude. Red-shirt him this year and wait until next year to start talking about the starting job for Gunner.
