Notre Dame Football: Are we being too harsh on Tommy Rees?

I know Tommy Rees made a bad mistake, and I do not approve of his actions whatsoever. But let’s take a step back and let the school handle the situation. If Rees is back, then I want to see him respond to all the critics with a great season. If he is booted off the team or suspended for a period of time, then that’s tough luck for Tommy.

He is an Irish player, so let’s support him as true Irish fans would.

Note ** Not everyone dislikes Tommy Rees, but from what I’ve seen, most people aren’t fans. **

The difference is that Floyd did not run or assault a police officer. There is no comparison.

That is unexcusable by Rees, I completely agree with you. But this is also his first time getting arrested, unlike Floyd.

If Floyd assaulted a policeman during his first arrest I don’t think he’d but thwon of the team.

Every situation is different though so we’ll see how this all unfolds for Tommy.

Slap The Sign…Michael Floyd had two previous run ins with the police both for underage drinking back in his hometown in MN. It was nowhere near ND. He was home on break drinking with his buddies…and he didn’t assault a police officer.

I guess you’re right, I just don’t like how people are treating Rees because of one dumb decision. Everyone deserves due process. Let’s not jump on him just yet.
