According to EagleAction.com, a Rivals.com website, Notre Dame Defensive Coordinator Bob Diaco will interview for the vacancy at Boston College. Bob Diaco is one of the best assistant coaches in the nation. He is a finalist for the Broyles award, which is given to the Nation’s top assistant coach.

Diaco is one of the reasons that Notre Dame is one of the top Defense’s in the nation. It is reasonable to believe that Diaco would be the top candidate for any job in the nation.

According to other reports, Diaco also interviewed with Cal. Both Cal and Boston College would be excellent destinations for Diaco as a first time head coach. It seems likely that if offered Diaco would accept one of these jobs. He is a top notch recruiter and excellent coach.

There could only be one step back to Diaco becoming Cal’s or BC’s next head coach. Diaco does not really like the spot light. He typically goes about his business without talking to the media. Public relations is a big part of being a Head Coach. Is Diaco ready for that? Stay tuned to Slap the Sign to find out.
