Preview: Notre Dame-Cincinnati

Notre Dame enters today’s ball game against the Bearcats as 5-point underdog. The Fighting Irish enters tomorrow’s game with a 13-1 record. This will be Notre Dame’s first true road contest. The Irish have played outside the confines of the Parcell Pavilion two times but these were neutral site games.

The Bearcats come into the game as the 14th ranked team in the nation. They are one of the favorites to win the Big East. Cincinnati is coming off a 53-52 loss to St. John’s on Saturday. The Bearcats average 75.6 points per game while allowing 57.4 points per contest.

Notre Dame is the 21st ranked club in the country. They are coming off a win in their first Big East game against Seton Hall, 93-74. Notre Dame averages 77.6 points per game. The Irish Defense has allowed 60.9 points per game.

Sean Kilpatrick leads the Bearcats in points and rebounds. Kilpatrick is averaging 17.9 points a game while grabbing 5.8 rebounds. Cashmere Wright leads the team in assists and steals. Wright averages 3.3 assists. He also steals 2.1 each ballgame.

The basketball game may be watched by no one but it will probably be one of the best of the year. These two teams are evenly matched. Notre Dame is a veteran team. They will not be effected by the crowd. This game could be the difference in who comes out on top of the Big East at the end of the year.
