Notre Dame Daily Recruiting Update: Running Backs, Prevot, Smythe

Editors Note: Now and until National Signing Day, Slap the Sign will be producing a daily digest of all the recruiting information that has occurred. With 17 days left until National Signing Day, the activity will be fast and furious. The rumors will be rampant. Most of all the excitement will be high. Slap the Sign is going to try to make sense of it all.

Running Back Recruiting

These two Running Back commitments are looking at Auburn University. Tarean Folston visited Auburn this week but Bryant did not. There is still a good chance that Notre Dame will hold on to both. But if one were to shake loose, it probably would be Folston. 5-star Running Back Ty Issac is still interested in Notre Dame but there may not be mutual interest. Notre Dame is also pursuing Dontre Wilson, an Oregon commit. He currently does not have a visit set to Notre Dame but is working on one.

Torrodney Prevot

According to multiple sources, Texas A&M leads for the 4-star Defensive End recruit from Houston, Texas. Despite his verbal to the USC Trojans, Prevot is still looking around at several programs. This includes Notre Dame. Prevot will visit South Bend on February 1st. The Irish are probably running 2nd or 3rd for the Defensive recruit.

Durham Smythe

Smythe grew up as a Notre Dame fan. The Fighting Irish should be able to land a commitment from the 4-star Tight End if there is room. The numbers are unclear right now. But, with Smythe visiting late in the process, Notre Dame should know whether or not they can take his commitment.
