Notre Dame landed several Wide Receivers in the 2013 class but failed to land the elite player like Laquon Treadwell. The Irish have several complimentary players on the roster but do not have the Michael Floyd type player that draws attention. Notre Dame needs land that player this recruiting cycle.

Notre Dame already has a commitment from Justin Brent, a Wide Receiver from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is ranked as the 187th player in the nation. Brent checks in at 6’3″ 193lbs. He could grow into the type of player that is a go to receiver.

Thaddeus Snodgrass and Jacob McCrary are also on the short list of names that might land with the Fighting Irish. Snodgrass almost landed with the Fighting Irish in November. The competition is probably between Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan State. McCrary has Notre Dame in his Top 3 with Clemson and Florida State.

Snodgrass, a 6’1″ 184lbs. Wide Receiver from Springfield, Ohio, catches the ball well. Based on his Junior film, he does not look physically imposing. He possesses good but not great speed. Overall, he is a solid Wide Receiver who could play slot or on the outside.

Notre Dame has several offers out to 2013 Wide Receivers but is not close to landing any of them. Based on the Rivals 100, this Wide Receiver class is down compared to year’s past. The elite Wide Receiver may not be available in this cycle. But, sometimes it is too early to tell whether or not that is true. An outlook on a prospect can change during their Senior year if they show a tremendous amount of progress.
