Odds of Notre Dame Basketball Winning the NCAA Tournament

Las Vegas has odds for virtually everything. Of course, they have have odds for who would win the NCAA Tournament.

If you put a dollar down on 1000-1 Boise State, it could end up being a great day for you if the Broncos win the championship.

Notre Dame’s odds are better but not much. According to Vegas, the Irish have a 100-1 shot of winning the title this year. To put it in perspective, top seed Louisville is 9-2.

Based on Notre Dame’s past performances, it feels like the Fighting Irish should be 1,000,000-1 heading into the tournament. Under Mike Brey, the Irish have only made it past the first weekend one time.

This team has failed to maintain a consistent level of play. If they are playing up to their potential, they could beat anyone in the country. They do not have elite talent but they have solid, experienced talent.

Which Notre Dame team will show up? A team that beat Louisville and Marquette or a team that lost to St. Joseph’s. If they do the former, they will make a deep run into the Sweet 16 and beyond. If they do the later, they will be bounced in the first round.
