Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Sam Mustipher Commits To Notre Dame

For those fans who have been complaining about the lack of progress the Irish staff has made on the recruiting trail, they have something to make them feel better. Sam Mustipher, a 4-star Offensive Guard from Olney, Maryland, committed to Notre Dame on Monday. According to 247Sports.com’s rankings, Mustipher is the 19th best Offensive Guard in the country. He hails from Good Counsel, a school that has produced several college prospects. He checks in a 6-4″ 285. Mustipher has already committed to play in the Under Armour All-American Game.

His commitment gives the Irish two along the Offensive Line. After a year where Notre Dame landed 5 commitments, the Irish are probably looking for 4 verbals this year. Mustipher joins Byrne along the Offensive Line. Both players are Guards. Notre Dame will now look to move towards landing two tackles prospects to fill out their class. This is the sixth pledge that the Irish have received overall. More commitments should be expected in the next two weeks as spring football concludes with the 84th annual Blue-Gold Game.
