Do you find yourself writing page long rants on messages boards about what Brian Kelly should or should not have done on 3rd down? Are you addicted to analyzing Notre Dame’s next big time recruit with your friends? If you are, then you should write for Slap the Sign.
At some point, you have probably thought about how great it would be to be a sports writer but thought that it was too tough to break into the business. I will not tell you that it is easy. But, I will tell you that it is fun. Since I’ve written for Slap the Sign, I’ve been on ESPN twice and have interviewed several recruits. We even have a few former ND players following us on Twitter. I take it all with a professional stance but sometimes I want to pinch myself to see if this is really real.
Now you are thinking, “I don’t have an English or Journalism degree.” Fine. You don’t need one. At Fansided, we want to hear your voice. If you can use spellcheck and read over your work at least once, you’ll be fine.
So what are you waiting for?
Contact me at [email protected] or via Twitter @SlapTheSign to get started.
We are looking for anyone of any age who can publish at least three to five times per week. We are also looking for multiple writers so do not be shy about contacting if you have a friend who is also interested.
