Quenton Nelson Commits To Notre Dame

Notre Dame landed its 3rd Offensive Linemen in the 2014 class on Wednesday night in New Jersey Offensive Linemen Quenton Nelson. Nelson is considered to be a consensus 4-star prospect. 247Sports has Nelson rated as their 233rd best player and their 15th best Offensive Tackle.

Nelson had offers from Alabama, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Stanford as well as many others. Anytime Alabama and Stanford have offered an Offensive Linemen, it is a good sign.

Nelson weighs in at 6-5 295lbs. Despite the recruiting services considering him as a Tackle, he probably will begin his career as an interior linemen. But he definitely has flexibility to move around to different positions.

The Fighting Irish will likely take one more Offensive Linemen before it finishes out at that position. Notre Dame took 5 Linemen in the previous class. 9 total Linemen in one class should give them the flexibility to be more physical in practice. As has been stated numerous times, the reason Notre Dame was so soft in the National Title Game was because of the lack of physical practices they had leading up to the game.
