Elijah Hood, "Roll Toilet"

Vine is an emerging form of social media which features 6 seconds of video. It is used mainly for humor. If it’s not funny, it’s not a Vine. But, Vine just got taken to a new level.

Elijah Hood, a 5-star Running Back commitment for the Fighting Irish, flushed letters from Nick Saban in his 6-second clip. The clip begins with a shot of several letters from Alabama. A voice, presumably, Hood’s, says, “Nick Saban hooked your boy up.” The next shot has a letter going in the toilet and Hood saying, “Roll toilet.”

Of course, this has stirred controversy in Alabama and made many laugh in the rest of the 49 states. Based on Hood’s tweets following the video, he does not seem to regret making the video. Why should he? Hood is committed to Notre Dame. He does not want to be recruited or contacted anymore. Granted, it does unfortunately happen but it really should not.

This humor for Notre Dame fans is an excellent break in the negative news that has occurred since January 7th. Now, the Fighting Irish can look forward to Fall Camp and the season.
