Richard Yeargin took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on June 12th. Based on the amount of ‘tweeting‘ that Yeargin has done during and since his visit, he clearly enjoyed his time in South Bend. 247Sports Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy predicted on June 13th that Yeargin would select the Fighting Irish. It is definitely trending that way currently.

Based on the offers that Yeargin has received, he is ranked as the 6th best prospect in the nation. Other sites that project his talent in a more subjective manner have Yeargin as a 4-star prospect.

Yeargin projects as an Outside Linebacker in Notre Dame’s Defense. He measures in at 6’3″ and weighs in at 213lbs. He would obviously need to add weight to properly play the position at the collegiate level.

Yeargin still have an official visit to Ohio State, which he will take over the weekend. He is currently focusing on nine schools. He has a Top 9 of Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Notre Dame, Tennessee and UCLA. (Marshall? Yes, in West Virginia.)

A decision could come from Yeargin after his return to Florida.

Looking at that picture of Shembo, it just doesn’t do him justice. Prince is a big athletic man. I am over 6’1″ and I have been on the elevator with this guy and he is quite impressive. He must be over 6’3″ and built to be an athlete. I going to say he will have a break out year this coming season. The NFL is in his future!
