According to multiple sources, former Texas Quarterback Connor Brewer is considering Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee. Brewer has been a full release from his Texas football scholarship.

Brewer was a former high school All-American and one of the Top Quarterbacks in the country. He is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. Brewer lost out to David Ash in the Texas Quarterback competition. Brewer did not play in the 2012 season.

Brewer was arrested in early 2013 for public intoxication and for possession of fake ID.

Brewer said of his departure:

“It was a hard decision but it was the right thing to do. I’ve had a lot of success. I think I still have a chance at that. I felt I’d have a better opportunity at another place. I want to go to a place where I can play sooner.”

The teams in Arizona are probably most likely to land Brewer. However, the big names, such as Notre Dame and Alabama, could attract Brewer to transferring there. Based on Brewer’s comments, he will go where playing time is most likely to be found and not a place where he will have to compete for it. This is probably not Notre Dame.
