Adidas Unveils New 'Shamrock Series' Uniforms

Adidas published a promotional video that unveiled the 2013 ‘Shamrock Series’ uniforms that Notre Dame will wear against Arizona State in Cowboys, Stadium. Each year, Notre Dame has worn new uniforms in the ‘Shamrock Series’. The uniform has tended to be fairly traditional but the helmets have been the most creative part. Both years have featured a gold textured look.

These uniforms have always been controversial with the traditionalists who feel Notre Dame should only wear their standard blue (and sometimes green) and gold uniforms. But, in reality, these uniforms have become a recruiting tactic with young prospective student athletes who are attracted to these uniforms. If Notre Dame is going to stay ahead of the game then they must keep evolving like other programs do. In reality, this evolution could mean jumbotrons and field turf for the stadium. It could also mean a separate dorm for student athletes. How does Notre Dame balance tradition with evolution in the 21st? What do you think of the new uniforms? Write a comment below.
