Notre Dame Completes Day Two

Yesterday, August 7th, the Fighting Irish completed their second day of fall practice at Shiloh Park.

Brian Kelly discussed the Offensive Line in his interview with Jack Nolan. Brian Kelly said that they needed to get Ronnie Stanley a chance to win a position at Right Guard or Right Tackle. Currently, the Offensive Line is Martin, Watt, Martin, Hanratty and Lombard.

Stephon Tuitt is coming off post-season sports hernia surgery. In the spring, he still looked out of shape and over weight. In the practice report, he still looks a bit heavy and not lean like normal. Louis Nix looks as quick as ever off the ball. He should be primed for a great season.’s video also gave the first look of Tarean Folston. Folston looks to be in great shape but is not as big as his counterpart Greg Bryant. Bryant still looks great catching the ball out of the backfield. Additionally, the video showed a great clip of Running Back Coach Tony Alford coaching up the running backs on blocking. This will separate who will play and who will not.

T.J. Jones and DaVaris Daniels both looked good breaking past veteran Cornerbacks KeiVarae Russell and Bennett Jackson. T.J. Jones looks physically thicker than last. He should be prepared to be the Irish go to receiver.

Is anyone else in Notre Dame fan land worried that Tuitt is going to have a subpar season after getting all of these preseason accolades?

The evaluation from scouts was that he appears to take off plays, which is OK when you had Teo behind you to clean up.
