Isaiah McKenzie is set to officially visit Notre Dame on October 19th for the clash between the Trojans and the Irish but a decision will come before takes that visit. He is set to make his college choice known on October 6th.
McKenzie currently favors three schools with the Fighting Irish out front. The other two schools are Rutgers and West Virginia.
McKenzie hails from the same high school, American Hertiage, as Freshmen Linebacker Michael Deeb. He is definitely slight of build. McKenzie checks in at 5’9″ 167 lbs. He has recorded 67 career receptions for 1489 yards and 24 touchdowns. McKenzie is a consensus 3-star prospect. He most notably can be recognized for his ‘SportsCenter Top 10′ play in which he returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
If McKenzie selects Notre Dame, he will likely play the Z-position. Although the position has been influx during Kelly’s tenure at Notre Dame, this is the only position where he truly fits the profile. He is probably too small for Defensive Back or Running Back. However, he could grow to be similar in size to current Notre Dame Running Back Amir Carlisle.
