Notre Dame Basketball Recruiting: Irish Receive Commitment From 4-Star Forward Bonzie Colson Jr.

2014 Notre Dame Basketball Recruiting

Notre Dame received a commitment from 4-star Power Forward Bonzie Colson Jr. on Monday morning. This is the second commitment for the Fighting Irish in the 2014 class. Notre Dame received a commitment from 4-star Power Forward Martin Geben on September 6th. Colson choose the Fighting Irish over Florida State. Colson recently visited Notre Dame for the Oklahoma game.

Bonzie Colson Jr. ranks as the 25th best player at his position in the 2014 class. Rivals.com has Colson Jr. ranked as a 3-star prospect.

Colson Jr. had offers from Pittsburgh, Miami (FL), Connecticut, Florida State, George Washington, Georgetown, Minnesota and Temple.

Mike Brey & Co. are attempting to land another solid class after landing the 15th best class in the country last year. That class featured a commitment from big time Point Guard Demetrius Jackson. Brey has continued to recruit well recently after the Irish upgraded their facilities. Will this upgrade in talent turn into deeper runs in March?

That is the only knock on Mike Brey at the moment.
