Notre Dame Football

November 4, 2013

Here are the biggest news links for the first Monday of November:

  • Injuries continue to pile up for the Fighting Irish. Ben Councell was lost for the year on Saturday with a knee injury. Brian Kelly has been 10-1 in November in his time at Notre Dame. Will these injuries add up to more loses this time?
  • Notre Dame-Michigan is one of most recent casualties of conference realignment. It looks like Purdue-Notre Dame will be another casualty of Notre Dame’s current scheduling issues. There were reports that Notre Dame and Purdue will play in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium.
  • In case you missed it, Notre Dame-Pitt will be another primetime kickoff for the Fighting Irish. ABC is hoping that they can pull some viewers away from LSU-Alabama.
  • Notre Dame’s bowl options are not looking great at this point. The only positive of playing in Detroit is that many fans would not have to get on a plane to get to the game.
