Notre Dame Football: Pitt TE Holtz Provides Bulletin Board Material

2o13 Notre Dame Football

Notre Dame is not the type of team that uses bulletin board material to get motivated from week to week. They claim that “it’s just another game” or “we try to block that stuff out.” Well, if Notre Dame wanted some extra motivation for this week, University of Pittsburgh Tight End J.P. Holtz provided it Monday for Notre Dame.

The Sophomore Tight End had many scathing things to say about the Fighting Irish. Holtz said, “Personally, I don’t like Notre Dame at all.” He went on to say, “It’s just going to make me go harder. I just think they’re really cocky and their coaches are really cocky. I just don’t like that. They’re just different people there.” He made it very clear which side of the fence he was on.

But, why the distain for the Fighting Irish? People hating Notre Dame is not new but Holtz may have a grudge after not being offered a scholarship to Notre Dame in high school. Holtz said of a visit he took to Notre Dame, “It’s awesome up there, but it’s not somewhere I would want to go to school.” That is quite the contradictory statement. J.P. Holtz must not like awesome.
