Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Will Tyler Luatua Be The Next Commit?

2014 Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Tyler Luatua is one of best Tight End recruits in the nation. 247Sports ranks Luatua as the 240th best recruit in the nation. He has narrowed his college choices to Notre Dame and Alabama. Luatua visited Notre Dame on October 18th and Alabama on November 8th. He does have an official visit scheduled to Wisconsin on November 30th. But, his decision will most likely be made before then.

Luatua’s brother Issac is a Redshirt Freshman at Alabama. That tie-in obviously helps the Crimson Tide. But, Notre Dame is the natural fit for Tyler. Notre Dame has had four Tight Ends drafted in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. The current staff knows how to use Tight Ends. Tyler Luatua could make Notre Dame his college choice before he visits Wisconsin. According to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball, 69% of experts believe that his final destination will be South Bend.

He would be the 18th commitment in the 2014 recruiting class. The class currently 11th in the country according to Rivals.com.
