2014 Notre Dame Football Recruiting
Notre Dame looks to close out their 2014 class by filling their needs and landing the best available talent on the board. Depending on who Notre Dame invites back for a 5th year, the Irish probably have room for have more players. However, if a player like Michiah Quick or JuJu Smith wants to come on board, Notre Dame will make room. Currently, the 5th years that are probably “on the bubble” are LB Kendall Moore, DE Justin Utupo and QB Andrew Hendrix. Additionally, there could be transfers that may allow Notre Dame to land more recruits. But, at the end of the day, numbers will probably not be an issue for the Fighting Irish.
The names on the list will push Notre Dame to 22 commitments overall. These are almost slam dunk situations at the moment for the Irish. However, Notre Dame could also land JuJu Smith, Damien Mama, Michiah Quick, Allen Lazard, Erik Brown and Drue Tranquill. Notre Dame is probably in the Top 2 or 3 with each of these recruits but trail slightly in each respective case. But, there is a lot of recruiting time left. Many things can and WILL happen, good or bad before Signing Day.
