Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Jhonathon Williams To Visit Notre Dame This Weekend

2014 Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Notre Dame offered several prospects during the bye week. Jhonathon Williams was one of them. He will now be taking a visit to South Bend for the BYU-Notre Dame game this weekend.

Williams is currently a Missouri commitment. He has offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, San Diego State and Toledo. Williams is a 3-star recruit according to 247Sports.

What excites that Notre Dame staff about Williams is his frame. At 6’6″, Williams has a long frame that the Irish can add good weight to. In terms of a player that Williams compares to in frame is current Notre Dame CAT Linebacker Ishaq Williams. He does not have the same talent but he can still be an extremely productive player at that size.

Clearly, the immediacy of his visit indicates the interest that Williams has in the program. A commitment could come this weekend. But, a good visit will put Notre Dame in a recruiting battle regardless of whether he flips his commitment or not.
