Notre Dame Football: Louis Nix Season Cut Short

2013 Notre Dame Football

Louis Nix may have played his last snaps in a Notre Dame uniform. Today, Notre Dame informed the greater college football community that Nix underwent ending surgery for a torn meniscus. This will cause him to miss the final two games of the football season.

Although many had expected him to go to the NFL following this season, he has surprised many by stating that he is undecided on his future. Many draft experts have Nix going in the top half of the 1st Round NFL Draft. It would probably be crazy if he would return to Notre Dame.

If he would return to Notre Dame, along with Stephon Tuitt, the Irish would be significantly better than without. However, the likelihood of this happening is slim.

The self-dubbed “Irish Chocolate” will finish the season with 27 total tackles, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries.

Louis Nix will celebrate with his Mother and Father Saturday during the Senior Day battle against BYU.
