Notre Dame Football
The Irish played at the Alamodome, Yankee Stadium, FedEx Field, Solider Field and Cowboys Stadium in their showcase Shamrock Series games. In September, they will add Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Multiple outlets including Purdue University’s Athletic website are reporting that Notre Dame and Purdue will play in Indianapolis on September 13th.
This will be the 69th meeting between the Irish and the Boilermakers. The Irish lead the All-Time Series 57-26-2. This will be the last time the Fighting Irish play the Boilermakers until they return to West Lafayette.
According to Purdue Athletic Director Morgan Burke:
“Jack and I tried everything we could to keep the series going without interruption. But, between the Big Ten going to a nine-game schedule and Notre Dame’s affiliation with the Atlantic Coast Conference, it just didn’t work out. The series is important to both schools, and we are pleased that we are able to extend it through 2026.”
