Notre Dame will end its 20-year relationship with Adidas and rebrand the entire athletic department under the trendy emblem of Under Armour. The switch will occur at the conclusion of the school year.

Under Armour CEO and Founder Kevin Plank reportedly flew to South Bend to help finalize the deal with school officials. The details have not been announced. However, it is likely between $60 million and $80 million over 10 years.

Presumably, the 2014 version of the Notre Dame Football team will be sporting new Under Armour jerseys. Undoubtedly, they will look exactly the same. However, Under Armour has been on the cutting edge of alternative uniforms. So, be prepared for what they will roll out for Shamrock Series game in Indianapolis.

ESPN’s Business Analyst Darren Rovell called Notre Dame, “one of the most valuable equipment contracts in college sports.”

Other teams associated with Under Armour include Auburn, Maryland, Boston College, South Carolina and Northwestern.
