Notre Dame Football Recruiting

There are two ways that the remaining five players could be ranked: by need or by best available. Why not do both? Here are the five remaining targets on Notre Dame’s board by need and by best available.

Remaining Five Targets By Need

1. Daniel Cage

The Irish desperately need Defensive Linemen. All teams do. Cage is the best of the remaining Defensive Linemen.

2. Courtney Garnett

Garnett is the second best of the Defensive Linemen. Landing him would still fulfill the need along the Defensive front.

3. Terrance Alexander

The Irish currently have 6 corners. If Alexander would commit, he could jump immediately to fifth or sixth on the depth chart. With Notre Dame moving to more to Nickel and Dime situations, the Irish will need to at least 6 corners who can play. Alexander has great speed and could be a great cover corner.

4. John “JuJu” Smith

The Irish currently have several highly recruited safeties but no stand out. Smith is a tremendous player that could make an immediate impact. He is just not necessarily “needed.”

5. Michiah Quick

Notre Dame has several talented young Wide Receivers. Quick is definitely a tremendous talent. But, if they do not land him, the Wide Receiver corps is still extremely young and talented. Quick is icing on the cake.

Remaining Five Targets By Best Available

1. John “JuJu” Smith

Smith is a 5-star recruit by Rivals and is their 24th best overall player.

2. Michiah Quick

Quick is the 76th overall player in the Rivals100.

3. Terrance Alexander

Alexander is the 32nd best Cornerback overall.

4. Daniel Cage

Cage is the 27th best overall Defensive Tackle

5. Courtney Garnett

Garnett is a 3-star recruit.
