Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Notre Dame is familiar with Gonzaga High School. They signed current Notre Dame cornerback and former Gonzaga High School player Devin Butler in 2013. Today, the Irish offer another Cornerback prospect out of Gonzaga High School, Marcus Lewis.

Lewis told SlapTheSign.com, “It’s a blessing that I can receive an offer from such a prestigious school both academically and athletically. They have tons of history”

Lewis is currently ranked a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals. He possesses great size and speed for the Cornerback position. Lewis claims a 4.38 40-yard dash. This combination is prototypical for a great cover corner.

The Gonzaga High School Cornerback has offers from Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Lewis said that they Irish were high on his list but would not specify where. He plans to visit Kentucky this week. Over spring break, Lewis will travel to Florida, Miami and Florida State.
