Notre Dame Football Recruiting
Yesterday, Notre Dame hosted its first Junior Day of the 2014-2015 recruiting season. The Irish extended to new offers to two visitors, LB Josh Barajas and WR Miles Boykin.
Linebacker Josh Barajas hails from Merrillville, Indiana. Barajas has blown up lately. Rivals and 247Sports rank him as a 4-star player. He has collected offers from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, NC State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. Most predictions have been trending towards Notre Dame. However, he has not committed yet.
Wide Receiver Miles Boykin is from New Lenox, Illinois. He attends Providence Catholic High School. At 6’5″ 208, Boykin could play either Tight End or Wide Receiver. The Irish have offered Boykin at Wide Receiver. With a 4.41 40-yard dash, it is likely that he would be able to be dominant with his speed and size.
Neither player has committed to Notre Dame yet. But, experts believe that both players will commit to Notre Dame. They both are local players. New Lenox near Joliet, Ill. and Merrillville, IN are less than two hours from campus. Additionally, for Barajas, the Irish need Inside Linebackers. It seems like an extremely good situation for him.
