Notre Dame Football Recruiting
Connecticut Tight End Chris Clark surprised everyone when he committed to the University of North Carolina. It was not as surprising when he de-committed from the Tar Heels following several unofficial visits this weekend.
Chris Clark committed to North Carolina on March 16th. However, Clark followed up his commitment with three unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan.

According to Mike Farrell of Rivals.com, Notre Dame is now the favorite to land Clark. Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio State are the other teams that will factor big in Clark’s recruitment.
If Notre Dame does not land a commitment from Clark, they may not pursue another Tight End unless he’s one of the top players in the country at the Tight End position.
Notre Dame currently has verbal commitments from six commitments including Blake Barnett, Nicco Fertitta, Jalen Guyton, Tristen Hoge, Prentice McKinney and Jerry Tillery.
The 6’6″ Tight End from Avon, Connecticut ranks as the 5th best Tight End and 184th best player overall.
