Notre Dame currently holds 6 commitments: Blake Barnett, Nicco Fertitta, Jalen Guyton, Tristen Hoge, Prentice McKinney and Jerry Tillery. When Notre Dame receives a commitment, there is typical rejoice. But, that excitement only lasts for a few moments. Fans, and presumably coaches, want to who is next commitment for the Fighting Irish?
The seventh commitment for the 2015 Notre Dame Football Recruiting cycle will be Cary, Illinois Offensive Linemen Trevor Ruhland.
Ruhland ranks as the 35th best Offensive Tackle, according to Rivals.com. His offer sheet features Bowling Green, California, Connecticut, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Purdue and Syracuse.
His offer list is not impressive. Neither is his rating. However, the Irish have time to build him into a starter. The Offensive Line is probably the strongest and deepest position on Notre Dame’s team.
The Irish already hold 2 commitments from Offensive Linemen, Offensive Guard Tristen Hoge and Offensive Tackle Jerry Tillery. A commitment from Ruhland may round out Offensive Line recruiting in 2015.
Coming up next: Miles Boykin, Justin Hilliard, Elijah Taylor and Chris Clark.
