Notre Dame currently holds 7 commitments: Blake Barnett, Nicco Fertitta, Jalen Guyton, Tristen Hoge, Prentice McKinney, Jerry Tillery and Trevor Ruhland. When Notre Dame receives a commitment, there is typical rejoice. But, that excitement only lasts for a few moments. Fans, and presumably coaches, want to who is next commitment for the Fighting Irish?
Slap the Sign correctly selected Ruhland as the next commitment on April 15, 2014.
The eighth commitment for the 2015 Notre Dame Football Recruiting cycle will be Cincinnati, Ohio Defensive Tackle Elijah Taylor.
Taylor ranks as the 18th best Defensive Tackle, according to 247Sports.com. His offer sheet includes Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State and Tennessee.
A commitment from Taylor would be really important for Notre Dame. The Irish do not possess many playmakers on the Defensive Line. Taylor would be a start in the right direction.
The Irish have not landed a commitment from a Defensive Linemen in 2015. However, they signed 7 Defensive Linemen in 2014. The Irish will likely take a large number of recruits at this position again.
Coming up next: Miles Boykin, Justin Hilliard and Chris Clark.
