Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Notre Dame Coaches Watch 2015 RB Jacques Patrick in Practice

Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Today, Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock and Running Backs Coach Tony Alford watched top 2015 Running Back prospect Jacques Patrick’s practice. The Irish are in desperate need of a Running Back (or two) in this class. Are Denbrock and Alford’s efforts enough to sway Patrick’s interest in the Irish?

Jacques Patrick is a 6’1.5″, 220 lbs prospect from Orlando, Florida. Patrick has 52 offers. He is ranked as the 58th best overall prospect and 3rd best Running Back by 247Sports.

Currently, Patrick’s main interests are Florida and Florida State. However, he has a Top 10 list that also includes Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and USC.

The odds are that Notre Dame improved their chances with Patrick but Florida and Florida State are clearly out front. The clear front runner is Florida State. However, if his recruitment drags into the season, the Irish will be able to show him their commitment to running the football with a stable of Running Backs.

Notre Dame’s best chances of landing a Running Back right now is Warrington, Pennsylvania prospect Josh Adams. Adams is a 3-star recruit according Rivals.
