Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Irish Coaching Staff Extends New Offers

Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Following the conclusion of spring football, the Notre Dame coaching staff hit the road. They have extended new offers to 2015 and 2016 recruits. Here are a few of the notable offers:

Dwayne Haskins – 2016 Quarterback – Potomac, Maryland

Despite being unrated by most recruiting services, Haskins holds offers from several big time programs including Arizona State, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State and Virginia Tech. Haskins checks in at 6’2″ 175 lbs. The Buckeyes possess the top spot in his recruitment.

Malik Henry – 2016 Quarterback – Thousand Oaks, California

Henry is the top dual-threat Quarterback in the class of 2016. 247Sports rates Henry as a 4-star recruiting. He has offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Southern Cal, Arizona State and UCLA. Henry checks in at 6’3″ 180 lbs. UCLA or USC could be the final destination for Henry.

Charles Omenihu – 2015 Defensive End, Rowlett, Texas

Omenihu verbaled his commitment to Texas on February 2014. However, Omenihu still listens to the Irish coaching staff. At 6’5″ 217 lbs., Omenihu is a classic fit for a Weakside Defensive End in a 4-3 scheme. He has offers from Texas, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Florida, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, TCU and Tulsa.

Arthur McGinnis – 2015 Linebacker – New Orleans, Louisiana

Notre Dame extended an offer to McGinnis on May 5th. However, McGinnis is currently a strong UCLA and Texas A&M lean. 247Sports rates him as a 3-star Linebacker and ranks him as the 44th best Outside Linebacker.
