Notre Dame Football: Tuitt Goes 46th To The Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Stephon Tuitt with the 46th pick in the second round of the NFL Draft. Tuitt fits perfectly into the Steelers’ 3-4 scheme as a Defensive End.

According to Rivals, Stephon Tuitt was a 5-star recruit and 22nd overall in the nation. Tuitt began his career against Michigan State in 2011. He finished the 2011 season with 30 tackles and 2 sacks. Tuitt had his best season in 2012. He collected 47 tackles, 12 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. His most memorable play occurred against Navy when he picked up a fumble and returned it 77 yards for a touchdown.

Tuitt rejoiced as he was selected by the Steelers with tears of joy.
